Duration: 10 Nights / 11 Days
Destination: Colombo - Dambulla - Anuradhapura - Polonnaruwa - Kandy - Nuwara Eliya - Horton Plains – Bentota - Colombo

Day 01: Arrive Colombo

Upon your arrival in Colombo you will be met and assisted by Travel Consortium India tour co-ordinator in the arrival lounge followed by an assisted transfer to your designated hotel for an overnight stay.

 

Day 02: Colombo – Dambulla

After your breakfast continue your trip to Dambulla the hub of cultural triangle. En-route stop in Yapahuwa to explore the remains of one of Sri Lanka’s ancient capital cities. Enjoy the Catamaran ride on Lake Habarana along with a local fisherman. Stay for three nights in Dambulla.

 

Day 03: Anuradhapura Excursion

After breakfast proceed for an excursion to Anuradhapura. Also visit Mihintale before returning back to your hotel for an overnight stay in Dambulla.

 

Day 04: Polonnaruwa Wildlife Tour

After breakfast enjoy your excursion and wildlife trip to the ancient city of Polonnaruwa. And witness a collection of rich architecture, extraordinary ancient irrigation methods along with huge man made reservoirs. In the afternoon enjoy Jeep Safari in Minneriya National Park. Return to Dambulla for overnight stay.

 

Day 05: Dambulla - Kandy

After breakfast we travel to Kandy, enroute visiting the Sigiriya with an option to climb the rock fortress. Later we visit the cave temple of Dambulla and a spice Spice gargen in Matale. In the evening indulge yourself with Kandyan cultural performance and stay for two nights.

 

Day 06: Elephant Orphanage Excursion

After breakfast we enjoy an excursion to Elephant Orphanage in Pinnawela to witness the bathing and bottle feeding of baby elephants. Afternoon indulge with a city sightseeing tour of Kandy with a visit to the Arts and Craft workshops, Batik Manufactures and the much ravered temple of the Tooth Relic of lord Buddha.

 

Day 07: Kandy - Nuwara Eliya

After breakfast visit the royal botanical Garden in Peradeniya and visit a tea plantation and a factory to witness the complete process of turning raw green leaf in to the finished product.before travel to Nuwara Eliya.; a hill station at 1,868 m (6,128 ft) of altitude, in a splendid landscape and the city pretends to be particularly well-kept and neat was built entirely during the 19th century and its architecture mimics that of an English country town, with red-brick walls, country house like hill club and mock-Tudor half-timbering. Arrive Nuwara Eliya and stay two night in Nuwara Eliya.

 

Day 08: Trek to Horton Plains

Today trek to Horton Plains; Located on the southern plateau of the central highlands of Sri Lanka. The peaks of Kirigalpotta (2,389 metres (7,838 ft)) and Thotapolakanda (2,357 metres (7,733 ft)), the second and the third highest of Sri Lanka, are situated to the west and north respectively. The park's elevation ranges from 2,100–2,300 etres (6,900–7,500 ft).  Afternoon is free to relax or explore the town. Stay overnight at Nuwara Eliya.

 

Day 09: Bentota 

Today travel by road to Bentota; a small resort town in the south western coastal belt where the beaches boast of its dazzling combination of sun, sea and sand. Arrive at Bentota. The afternoon is free for you to relax and enjoy. Stay two nights at Bentota.

 

Day 10: Galle Excursion

After breakfast enjoy an excursion to Galle. Galle was known as Gimhathiththa (although Ibn Batuta in the 14th century refers to it as Qali) before the arrival of the Portuguese in the 16th century, when it was the main port on the island. Galle reached the height of its development in the 18th century, during the Dutch colonial period. Galle is the best example of a fortified city built by Europeans in south and Southeast Asia, showing the interaction between European architectural styles and south Asian traditions. The Galle fort is a world heritage site and the largest remaining fortress in Asia built by European occupiers. Explore the local bazaar and shop for local hand crafted souvenirs. Stay overnight at Bentota.

 

Day 11: Colombo Departure

Enjoy breakfast and travel back to Colombo & the tour & our services finish here by late afternoon transfer to the International airport.
