Day 01: Arrival in Leh and Transfer to Sham Valley (70 Kms / 1 hrs 30 Minutes)
Upon your arrival at Leh airport, you will be promptly transferred to the enchanting Sham Valley, meandering through picturesque villages along the Indus River. Once you reach Sham Valley, check in to your pre-booked accommodation, where you can relax and rejuvenate. Enjoy an overnight stay in Sham.
Day 02: Exploration of Aryan Valley - Dha and Hanu - Return to Sham
After a hearty breakfast, embark on an intriguing journey to Aryan Valley via Khaltse. Depart from the Srinagar highway and follow the course of the Indus River until you reach Achinathang. From there, continue your drive to Beema village, where you will have the opportunity to explore monasteries and the unique villages of Dah-Beema, inhabited by the Drokpa people. Engage with the locals, gaining insights into their daily lives and the adaptations crucial to their seasonal lifestyle. The Drokpa people, with their pure Indo-Aryan descent, uphold their racial purity and distinct cultural characteristics. Return to Sham, making an enroute visit to Lamayuru Monastery and Moonland. Arrive in Sham by evening for an overnight stay.
Day 03: Sham to Leh (70 Kms | 3-4 hrs approx.)
After a delicious breakfast, embark on a scenic drive back to Leh, with stops at Alchi Monastery, Sangam (the confluence of rivers), Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, Magnetic Hill, and the Hall of Fame along the way. Arrive in Leh by afternoon. Later in the day, visit the serene Shanti Stupa and explore Leh Market. Enjoy an overnight stay in Leh.
Day 04: Leh to Hunder in Nubra Valley (128 Kms | 4-5 hrs approx)
After a hearty breakfast, set off on a mesmerizing journey to Nubra Valley via the world-famous Khardungla Pass, which stands as the second highest motorable road globally at 18,380 feet. Along the way, take short breaks at charming roadside cafes and scenic viewpoints for memorable photography opportunities. Upon reaching Hunder, check in to your hotel or camp. After a satisfying lunch, indulge in a camel safari, riding the unique double-humped camels found only in Ladakh and Mongolia. Spend the night in Nubra Valley, surrounded by its breathtaking beauty.
Day 05: Nubra Valley to Pangong Lake via Shyok River Road (150 Kms | 6-7 Hrs approx)
After breakfast, continue your adventurous journey to the breathtaking Pangong Lake, situated at an elevation of 14,500 feet. The drive will take approximately 6-7 hours. Upon reaching the campsite, you'll have leisure time to appreciate the ever-changing colors of the lake and witness a mesmerizing sunset by its banks. Spend the night at Pangong Lake, surrounded by the serene beauty of nature.
Day 06: Pangong Lake → Hanle via Kaksang La (Approx. 207 km | 6–7 hours drive)
After an early breakfast, depart from Pangong Lake for a breathtaking high-altitude drive to Hanle. The journey leads through the remote and scenic Chushul region, crossing Tahto La, passing the pristine Mirpal Tso, and ascending Kaksang La (17,850 ft / 5,430 m)—one of the highest motorable passes in Ladakh. Continue via Yaya Tso, Mahe, Nyoma, and Loma Bend, with stunning Himalayan landscapes unfolding at every turn. Arrive at Hanle Village by evening. Overnight stay at Hanle.
Day 07: Hanle → Demchok → Umling La → Hanle (Loop Drive) (Approx. 260–280 km | 10–12 hours drive)
After an early breakfast, depart from Hanle for one of the most adventurous and remote high-altitude drives in Ladakh. Travel towards Demchok, passing through stark landscapes and dramatic terrain along the sensitive Indo–China border region. En route, cross Nurbu La (approx. 17,500 ft / 5,330 m), gradually ascending towards the world’s highest motorable road. Continue the climb to Umling La (approx. 19,024 ft / 5,800+ m), offering unmatched panoramic views of the vast Changthang Plateau. Visit Demchok, a remote frontier village near the India–China border, before driving back towards Chisumle via Umling La. The return journey continues over Phuti La (approx. 18,100 ft / 5,515 m), followed by a scenic descent through isolated valleys and expansive high-altitude plains back to Hanle. Arrive at Hanle by late evening after a long yet rewarding expedition. Overnight stay at Hanle.
Day 08: Hanle → Tsomoriri Lake via Salsala La & Chumur (Approx. 220–240 km | 8–9 hours drive)
After an early breakfast, depart from Hanle for a scenic and adventurous drive across the remote Changthang region towards Tsomoriri Lake. The route leads through the lesser-explored border region of Chumur, offering vast open landscapes, nomadic settlements, and dramatic high-altitude scenery.
En route, cross Salsala (Salsa) La (approx. 16,900 ft / 5,150 m), a high mountain pass known for its raw beauty and isolated surroundings. Continue the journey through Chumur before joining the road towards Sumdo and Mahe, gradually approaching the Tsomoriri basin. Arrive at Korzok Village by evening, situated on the banks of the stunning Tsomoriri Lake. Overnight stay at Korzok / Tsomoriri.
Day 09: Tsomoriri – Tsokar - Taglangla – Leh (240 Kms | 7-8 hrs approx.)
Morning after breakfast, leave for Leh via Puga (Sulphur Mine) and Polakongka pass 15,892 ft, Tsokar Lake, and Taklang La Pass 17,585 ft, the second-highest motorable road in the world. Arrive in Leh by late evening. Overnight stay in Leh.
Day 10: Departure from Leh Airport to Delhi (4 Kms | 15 minutes approx)
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Leh airport for your flight back to your destination, marking the end of your remarkable journey.
